The Berhampur School of Engineering & Technology (BSET) Hyderabad Student Chapter of the ACM was established in 2016 to address the needs of the Berhampur School of Engineering & Technology (BSET) Hyderabad computing community. Goal of the chapter is to create interest among the students for computer science apart from what they learn during the course work. The chapter organizes talks and workshops on different subjects by speakers who are well known in their area. These talks give students opportunities to learn about advanced research subjects. Apart from these, some non-technical activities are also organized.

First started in 1941 as the Association of Principals of Technical Institutions (APTI), it was converted into Indian Society for Technical Education in 1968 with a view to enlarge its activities to advance the cause of technological education in the country.

ISTE STUDENT CHAPTER was established at Bharat Institute of Engineering and Technology on 2017. The Chapter started with 522 student members and continued till date with all the student members as registered members. Berhampur School of Engineering & Technology (BSET) encourages the students equally to become a member and take advantage of the various benefits of the Chapter. Every year the ISTE Student chapter of Berhampur School of Engineering & Technology (BSET) conducts various events such as expert lectures, workshops, seminars, Industrial visits, etc. to assist staff and students for updating their technical knowledge.

The seed for the Computer Society of India (CSI) was first shown in the year 1965 with a handful of IT enthusiasts who were a computer user group and felt the need to organize their activities. They also wanted to share their knowledge and exchange ideas on what they felt was a fast emerging sector. Today the CSI takes pride in being the largest and most professionally managed association of and for IT professionals in India. The purposes of the Society are scientific and educational directed towards the advancement of the theory and practice of computer science and IT.

SAP EDUCATION PARTNER and Berhampur School of Engineering & Technology (BSET) along with SAP India are willing to jointly establish a strategic relationship, where parties shall work together in number of ways for setting-up of an on-campus training center at Berhampur School of Engineering & Technology (BSET)’s campus (“On-Campus Training Centre”) in order to provide SAP Consultant Courses to the students of Berhampur School of Engineering & Technology (BSET).
This exposure and education will give students a competitive hiring advantage while giving employers access to well prepared graduates, skilled in the latest concepts & tools.
